Ms. Shirley May Waters

Ms. Shirley May Messer Waters, age 80, of Morristown, passed away Monday evening, October 31, 2022 at Newport Health and Rehabilitation. She was of the Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by parents William Ernest Messer and Willie Mae Messer and grandson Adam Paulette. Survivors include her children Debbie (Tommy) Strange of Del Rio, Beverly Mantooth of Del Rio, Darlene Brown of Newport, Robert Mantooth of South Carolina; sister Francis Kelley of Del Rio; brother Eddie Messer of Ohio. Additional survivors include five grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family would like to express a special thank you to her granddaughter Tarna Mantooth and her grandson Logan Mantooth both for being her loving caregivers. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Clark Cemetery (Deep Gap), with Rev. Steve Blanchard officiating.
