Mr. R.L. Shelton, age 73, of Del Rio, passed away Thursday afternoon, April 27, 2023 at his home. He was preceded in death by his wife Rodetta Shelton; infant son R.L. Shelton, Jr.; father R.J. Shelton; mother Roella Shelton Mathis and brother George Shelton. Survivors include his daughter Shelia Proffitt of Del Rio; sisters Margaret McMahan of Jefferson Co and Peggy Sue (Randy) Henderson of Del Rio; brothers Darrell (Deloris) Shelton, R.J. Shelton, Jr. and Danny (Dina) Shelton all of Del Rio. Additional survivors include several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A private graveside service was held.
