Obituary Mrs. Linda Murr Watts, age 72, of Newport, passed away peacefully at her home Friday, August 19, 2022.She was a lifelong member of Riverview Baptist Church and served as the treasurer of the East Tennessee Baptist Association for many years. She loved to travel and visited numerous countries around the world.She was preceded in death by her husband and traveling partner Jerry Watts, with whom she is now traveling again. Parents Estel and Gladys Murr and brothers Butch and Gary.Survivors include her children Rick, Chad and Jaime; grandchildren, Marissa, Shelley, Jacee and Spencer; brother Roger and sister-in-law Vonda; niece Heather; nephew Jordy and great nephew Cole. Additional survivors include other extended family and friends.A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at Riverview Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Grooms officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the church prior to the service. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Thursday, August 25, 2022 at Union Cemetery for the 11:00 a.m. interment.In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial donations be made to Alzheimer’s Tennessee located at 5801 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919.Brown Funeral Home is honored to serve the Watts family. Jaime and All:Im so sorry to learn of Lindas death. It was so much fun having you on one of our trips. Im positive Jerry greeted her at the Gate of All Gates. Now they are on the Ultimate Tour! Much love always!

Mrs watts was a very sweet lady Ive waited on her for years at Cracker Barrel she was a jewel she always wore a smile on her face no matter what day or time I seen her she had the sweetest an kindest soul jerry both I bet was standing w his angel wings waiting on her she loved everyone this I could be having a bad day an when I seen her face she always had such kind words an knew how to brighten my day all her kids are jus like her so sweet an kind I hope god wraps his arms around their kids lord they need u know more than ever please comforts them with ur peace an love an find them comfort in the next coming weeks they need u lord an continue showering w ur love an blessing lord watch over them all in Jesus name amen I love ual jamie an Chad an rest of family love ual biggg
