Rev. Lawrence Eugene “Larry” Frazier, age 65, of White Pine, passed away Tuesday evening, May 23, 2023 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. During his years of serving in ministry, he served in multiple positions; as Minister of Music at Newport Church of God for 21 years, he taught Junior Boys Sunday School Class, he was a Chaplain at Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice, he served as a Missionary to Peru and most recently, served over 17 years as Senior Pastor at White Pine Church of God. He was a former local business owner, having co-owned The Frontier Shop and Frazier Brothers Painting, with his brother Trent Frazier. He was preceded in death by his father Lawrence Frazier; grandparents Handy and Ethel Kitchens and Kermit and Effie Frazier and sister-in-law Pamela Antisdel. Survivors include Heather R. Davison- Frazier and son Samuel Lawrence Frazier both of the home; mother Betty R. Frazier of Newport; mother-in-law and father-in-law Linda and Donnie Hamilton of Newport; sisters Donna (Paul) Sallee of Newport and Lynn Baxley of Lehigh Acres, Fl; brother Trent (Robin) Frazier of Newport; sister-in-law Kimberly (Chad) Gray; nieces Tara Sallee Smith, Kallai Sallee Santana, Jennifer Antisdel, Kaley Burgess and Kerigan Burgess; nephews Matthew Baxley, Zahn Sallee, Jason Antisdel, Gregory Antisdel, Kaleb Burgess, Skyler Gray and Keaton Burgess and several cousins and friends. The funeral service will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, May 26, 2023 at Newport Church of God with Pastor T.H. Ferrell and Pastor Andy Turner officiating. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Friday at Newport Church of God prior to the service. Marty and I loved Pastor Larry so very much. He was such a great inspiration and mentor to us and will be missed so much. You all are in our thoughts and prayers.
