Pastor James Edward "Jimmy" Morrow

Pastor James “Jimmy” Edward Morrow, age 67, the pastor of Edwina Church of God, in Jesus’ Name and lifelong resident of Del Rio, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, January 24, 2023. Pastor Morrow was a faithful Minister to the community for 35 years. He was a Preacher of The Gospel in the Name of Jesus Christ with signs following in Jesus Name. He was a family historian and loved doing folk art. He also wrote a book titled Handling Serpents. He was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Ruth Morrow; father and mother-in-law John Ike and Bonnie Ford; brother, Donald Morrow and sister-in-law Ann Cagle. Survivors include the love of his life, his wife of 49 years, Pamela G. Ford Morrow of Del Rio; sisters Jean (Roger) Sheets of Bedford, VA, Wanda Morrow Sparks of Del Rio and Karen (Steve) Mantooth of Newport; sister-in-law Jean Dockery of Edwina; brothers Benny Morrow of Newport and Timothy (Victoria) Morrow of Morristown. Additional survivors include several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. The funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening, January 26, 2023 in the Costner-Maloy & Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Allen Williams and Pastor John Brown officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Friday at Union Cemetery for the 11:00 a.m. Interment. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Costner-Maloy & Brown Funeral Home prior to the service.
