Mrs. Geraldine Fine Bailey

Mrs. Geraldine “Rose” Fine Bailey, age 59, of Newport passed away Sunday evening, October 16, 2022 at Newport Convalescent Center. She was preceded in death by her husband Darrell “Whistle” Bailey; mother Maggie McCarter Fine; father Ike Fine; mother-in-law Joann Bailey and father-in-law John M. Bailey. Survivors include her daughter Brittany Bailey (Brent Presley); Granddaughter Brylie Rose Presley all of Newport; sisters Marie Baxter, Shirley Hall, Janie (Wayne) Rankins, Kathy (Dean) Hook, all of Newport, Jeanette Bryant of Dandridge and Debbie (George) Drake of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; brothers Mike Fine and Mitch (Rita) Fine all of Newport; additional survivors include several nieces, nephews including special great-nephews Braiden Norman, Easton Hall and Levi Hunter all of Newport, cousins and friends including special friends Judy Hensley of Parrottsville, Sam Dunn and Dee Stuart both of Newport and also a host of additional family and friends. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of Newport Convalescent Center and U.T Hospice for their loving care. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 21, 2022 at Union Cemetery with Pastor Billy Williams officiating.
